Welcome
to Bacchus Bullmastiffs. We are a small, family-oriented bullmastiff breeder located
in Bucks County, PA.
Emphasis is on healthy, well-conditioned animals for placement in show or pet homes. We only breed one litter every 2-3 years. Our bullmastiffs exhibit athleticism consistent with the origins of this fine breed. Structural (anatomical) soundness is most evident in the movement of our dogs. Healthy dogs result from a natural, balanced diet and regular exercise. Each bullmastiff puppy begins life on a raw diet based on the principles put forth by the renowned, holistic veterinarian Dr. Pitcarin, Wendy Volhard, and Ian Billingshurst.
Bill is a scientist (Ph.D.) with training in exercise physiology and metabolism who has enjoyed the benefits of long distance running for more than 30 years. Thus, we recognize the value of conditioning bullmastiffs on a regular exercise program of long walks and jogging. Adult bullmastiffs can easily run 3-5 miles (2-3 times a week) to produce sound physical conditioning. This aids in conformation shows and promotes their longevity.
